Andrea's testimony for her Xena Isabella

This is Andrea and Xena. Andrea is the sister of our good friend,Roxana . Roxana is located with her nice dearly family in Switzerland but Andrea is living in California with her own family, husband and son...and Xena. Thier parents are living in Costarica, thier hometown. They live in diference parts of the world but thier bond and love hearts and souls are very close to each other.

Today, I would love to present some excerpts of Andrea's story  about her little chihuahua,Xena Isabella. It was miracle!!!

Please take 2 minutes of your time to read it.

On January 3rd I received a blessing that I had been hoping to get for a long time. My parents gave me a beautiful 7 week-old puppy; she weighed less than a pound and was the cutest thing I had ever seen. My family and I fell in love with her immediately. We named her Xena Isabella. She brought us so much joy!

Four days after we brought her home, she started to get sick. We took her to the vet's and the doctor diagnosed her with a viral infection Parvo.!!!

The doctor who diagnosed Xena basically told me that there was no hope of her survival. He did give me the option of leaving her at the hospital, however he said "It is going to cost you thousands of dollars and there still is almost no chance of her surviving this illness". My husband agreed with the doctor and told me there wasn't much to do for her.

I was devastated!! I felt desperate and didn't want my puppy to die! I immediately tried to contact my mom and my sister (they are my support system). My sister was the first to call me, so I told her the news and I could not stop crying. We prayed together because I needed strength and guidance.

I brought Xena home with my husband and son, and I laid with her on my bedroom floor. She was getting worse and worse. She couldn't stand up and began to have seizures. I felt horrible and helpless! I could see the sadness in her eyes.

At this time, my mom finally called me! She was at church and asked if I wanted her pastor to pray for me. I obviously said "YES! PLEASE!". So I was put on speaker and not only the pastor, but all of his care team started to pray for me and Xena. They interceded for my family and puppy; I finally started to feel peace.

After this prayer my father called and noticed something was wrong in my voice. I told him what was going on and he said he would pray for me as well. Five minutes later he called me back again and told me to take Xena to the hospital. He offered to pay for the hospital expenses in order to try to save her life. At first, I wasn't sure what to do, because there wasn't much we can do to save her. However, I prayed by myself and felt peace to take her to the hospital.

realized something very important during my prayer that changed my thoughts. Xena was a great blessing to me and my family and I was not going to let anything or anyone take her away from us. I held on to this Bible verse and declared that no one or nothing will take this puppy away from us.

I took Xena to the hospital that night. I would like to clarify that I took her to a different hospital than the one she was diagnosed at!! The doctor saw her and asked me if I was sure I wanted to spend the money on trying to save Xena's life or if I wanted to buy a new puppy. I had no question in my mind that I wanted to save her. They also told me that Xena would probably have to be hospitalized at least 4 to 5 days.

That night I went home and continued to pray. For the first time in my life I felt complete peace in leaving this challenging situation in the Lord's hands. I knew I could do nothing else but pray and have faith that God was taking care of her.

Well, in order to keep my testimony as short as possible, two days after I hospitalized Xena, I brought her home. She was on antibiotics, an anti-vomit medicine and a nutritional supplement for the next 7 days. The least I can say is that she didn't only live, but she was out of the hospital in half the time that the doctor expected!

Today she is doing great! She is healthy, playful and, as I would say "a very blessed puppy"! I truly hope that you share my joy and that thru my testimony.

The "Shopper"

I have not yet succeeded in keeping any of Cash's sons for myself. Everytime I intended to keep one, there were always reasons to send them to somewhere else. This time, this boy, I must keep him for myself.
His call name is "Shopper". The pictures were taken yesterday when Shopper was 45 days old.
The great dam of Shopper is "Primrose", a beautiful Thai champion who pictures I have not yet featured on the 'Champions' page. Everytime I put her pictures in the page, she became sick!! And when I removed the pictures, she was fine.!!! Believe it or not ??!!

My perfect birthday at 54 years young!!!

Today...I am 54 years old. I used to think that it's an old age. When I was a teenager, I used to think that once I turn 50, I would probably feel old.

But once I turned 50, and now 54, I find myself to really enjoy my life.

Of course, the wrinkles, grey hair, and forgetfullness have arrived since the early 50s. So it's no surprise that, at the age of 54, they are with me like shadows.

But on the other hand, the age of 54 brought with it the realization that perhaps, this is the best time of my life. I can look at all my children and proudly say that they are all good children. I look at my husband and see a man I've spent almost 30 years of my life with, and have always expressed his love for me. He is probably the main reason I look so old and fat. Every morning he would say he loves me and every night he would say I'm beautiful (I know it's not true but like it.HAHAH). Makes me complacent and not aware of the aging that approaches.

At the age of 54, I have many good friends, own many dogs which others would love to have, and these dogs love me unconditionally.

I've never considered cosmetic surgery even though wrinkles have not been kind but never mind. I've never thought of hiding my real age. I've never wanted o use any of the pictures from my younger days when I give interviews to local newspapers. Why should I? Many lives have had to end young. It's not as if they would want not to grow old. Some have to grow old alone. I'm not like that. I have people love me and dogs that worship me (of course there are people that hates, hurts and harms me but I choose not to care.)

MY husband gave me flowers and a nice simple wish (and hopefully genuine) as my birthday present. I don't like anything artificial so I only appreciate fresh flowers. So the flowers I received from my husband and children once a year is something I keep with till next year. It'll wither and changes colour but it's something that always cheer me up till my next birthday.

This morning, I went out to offer food to the monks, just like every other morning.

My husband and Sa took me out for a birthday meal with my brother's family, whose birthday is near to mine. It's a simple meal, and something we do repetitively, but I always enjoy it nonetheless.

Saiyai and Kawee sent their love across the oceans from New York and Vancouver, respectively. When I returned home, the dogs do not know if this is my birthday or any other day, but they show me overwhelming love. This is enough to make my birthday perfect.

The ruby Cavalier puppy on the red carpet

Judy Kegley, our Winky's breeder, donated a ruby female cavalier puppy to the Nevada Ballet for their Black and White Ball. This is the event of the year. The little girl brought $10,000 to the ballet! She now belongs to a TV news broadcaster in town and is frequently on TV and goes to many different red carpet events, including the Miss America Pageant.
WOW!!! Wonderful!!!
The lady who is the owner is soooo pretty.
And the ruby puppy is sooooo sweet,so cute. Well, my heart melts again.

Please kindly keep "Natalia Chernova" in your prayers.

This is the puppy that Natalia likes and wants. Natalia Chernova wrote an email to me from Russia. It was a long, yet meaningful, sweet and enthusiastic letter. She breeds and shows Shitzus and her Shitzu is one of the best in Russia right now. She said she spent many hours with my website at her first time visiting and she studied about me and started to study about Chihuahuas and finally she decided to write a letter to me telling me that she wanted to start having Chihuahuas because she likes this breed and she wanted to have a new friend like me who can talk and share the same interests.

Each time we have a long conversation... and we are happy. Every time I receive an e-mail from her, I'm impressed, not only because in each of her letters she respects other peoples' achievements and she is proud of what she does (her Shitzus, which are ranked in the top of Russia, are loved, groomed, trained and showed by herself and Kristina, her daughter, as an assistant) but also what impressed me the most... which I never told her before... was that her neat, warm, funny, beautiful-worded letters which show her sweet heart were written with a dictionary and computer translation! I have tried to write Chinese from a dictionary before, but it didn't work out and I gave up on the second sentence and never tried again. But Natalia wrote letters to me using a dictionary so many times and they were so long,so nice,so neat!
Suddenly, the warm and beautiful letters disappeared from my mailbox for 2 weeks. I told myself there must be something wrong.
Yesterday, which was Valentine's Day, Kristina, Natalia's daughter kindly sent a Valentine's Day card to me saying that she believes it is something her mother would want her to do...

Kristina told me that her mom had an accident when she fell down on the street and fainted. She has been hospitalized until now, which is 2 weeks already - equal to the time that she has been gone from my mailbox. The doctor has not yet been able to indicate the symptoms.

Miracles do not happen often, but they are something that can happen and that we can hope for!!! A prayer that comes from a pure, beautiful heart must be powerful and might bring a miracle!! So, I would like to ask all my friends to keep Natalia in your prayers, according to your religion.
I hope and pray Natalia gets better soon, miraculously. I hope that she will get back to take care of her beloved Shitzus who are still wondering where their mommy is. They must miss her so much.
I, myself, will keep a Chuhuahua that Natalia wants for herself, and will send the pup to her as a gift when she returns to her normal life. I believe that I will have the chance to do so.

Bubble

This is "Bubble", a male chihuahua puppy out of Baron and Tana. The pictures taken when 33 days old. He's a charming.

Happy Valentine's Day

May you always have love to share,
Health to spare,
And friends that care...

Thank you for all the love, sincerity , good intentions that you all have given to me, and both my 2-legged and 4-legged family for all the time.

I'm happy that you also share the love and friendship to each other.

Thank you for proving that love, good intentions and sincerity can be found in this world, even through a small blog like this.

I divide my little heart into 1000 pieces and coat them with love, just like chocolate coated biscuits, and send them to everyone on Valentine's day and hope they will be with you forever.

LOVE YOU ALL DEARLY

My loved ones at thier annual vacation

View from the cruise they enjoyed.
Jane,my dear friend,and her daughter,Carol.

Erika, the beautiful lady in the golden brown dress with Billy and a friend.

Jane with her younger friends who respect and love her dearly.Erika and Billy.

Erika and friend.

I'll this picture in my memories bank all my life. They are my loved ones.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These picture are full of people I love. Jan G. Kay, a senior friend whom I mention a lot of. And why wouldn't I? Jane has been a kind and cheerful fiend to me. She is a very respectable judge and a very good mentor to me. Jane is now 95 years old. Just look at her. I cannot imagine that should I live to be her age, will I look as good as she does.
Erik Lanasa. If someone asks me who is my favorite handler, my answer, just as I've always answered, is Erika Lanasa.Erika is both a breeder and a handler. She is well-known and honored in both roles. And why not? Her chihuahuas are ranked in the top-ten of American every year, some years more than one. Her Teddy was the number one fore three years straight, and her Paloma Blanca was number one in 2008.
Other than her talent, another thing about Erika that impresses me is her dedication to rescuing dogs. It's a hard-work that she puts serious effort into. She commit as much time to it, no less than breeding or showing dogs.
Billy is a handsome young man. Very handsome. His talent in showing dogs is beyond explanation. Billy is a teacher at a school. His hobby (a very serious hobby) in the showing dogs world he is a friend, a brother, and a member of Erika's team in showing dogs.In these pictures, they were having their annual vacation at a cruise, along with their family and loved ones, before going back to continue their hard work.
One thing I pray is that Jane don't judge too often in America because Erika doesn't show her dogs in events that Jane judges (to avoid discontent among others since they know that these two are like family.) I make such prayer partly out of self-interest. LOL.I'm sending Malee for Erika to show, and if Jane judges in America often, that would mean less chance for Erika to show and Malee might finish her championship a bit late!!!

My accidential hybrid "Cava-pug"

I have hybrid puppies of Cavalier King Charles & Pug. It was not my idea to produce hybrids, which seems to be a trend at the moment. It was an accident. My brother visited my house with a female pug which was on season. He was not very careful with her so Typhoon, my handsome cavalier made love to her. The results were four strong cute, and pug-ish puppies.
They are cute but I got headache!!!
