The two nutty friends

I have a new friend name Athena Capella, from the Philippines. She kindly dropped by my guest book and we have kept in touch since then. We only talk of one subject: CHIHUAHUAS. She said she can hardly talk about anything else, and as for me, I got a thousand other topics to talk about but none as enjoyable as dogs.

Athena said that her neighbors think she has a problem (they think she's nuts.) Many a time, during a conversation, she would just start talking about her chihuahuas. She told me she can't control herself. She doesn't seem to have a problem with this fact though. Why should she worry? She has over 20 understanding chihuahuas!!!!

I thought about what Athena told me and thought, "Oh! Am I nuts as well?" I can't stop thinking of my dogs for more than an hour, just as Michelle Brislin from the US. Many times, during a conversation with people from other industries, such as the telecommunity, in which, as an editor, I am a part of, I would start talking about my dogs! Oh! I pity the people of the telecommunity because they might be thinking that they have a "nuts" editor on their hands!!!

This behaviour, may be due to genetics, in my family. My middle-child, studying film-studies for his university degree, he can't stop talking about films. He always mention films during a conversation. But our family never thinks he's nuts. We enjoy listening to him. LOL.

Athena also sent two pictures of her chihuahuas for me to see. She is Homlyn, her 6 year old retired Phil. Champ, her one and only who gave her pride and joy in the ring. All the others are untitled, but they are all special to her in their own way. Athena started with 4 Chis, and Homlym is one of her originals. She has given Athena 2 pups only, a male named Angel who is 5 yrs old now and a female named Fawna, 2 yrs old. She always likes attention. . . and sometimes when Athena talk to her, she tries her best to talk back. She's funny. . . .

That's the way Athena talk about her chihuahuas, and today my blog is the story of the two nutty friends. LOL.

Good morning, good day

During my comfortable sleep last night, our new Foreign Minister kept negotiating with the Cambodian counter-part. It turned out, this morning, that negotiations is going in the right direction. The soldiers of both sides will step back from the border. The representative of both sides will engage in negotiations more frequently. Both sides hope that we'll be able to

A month ago, there was a very strong storm in the area of my village. It brought down a big tree in my house. I hired people to replant the tree (the process would required a crane). It cost a lot. At the time, I was very upset I had to pay a lot of money. But as time goes by, the big tree was re-planted and now, it's very beautiful very green. It turns out I'm very happy and doesn't regret paying that money. What good is money if we let a friend who has lived with us for so many years to die. Even if that friend is a tree. For my family and I, every tree in our compound, is like a human friend. This morning, I looked at the new leaves on this tree, and felt very good.

In this same morning, the news reported that our Tammy, Thailand's Woman Tennis Hope, won yesterday, in Spain, and has been promoted to the 37th best in the world. That's another great morning for me.

Typhoon, the sweet cavalier feels good every morning. Every morning is a good morning for him.

Not a very good day.... but that's life

It seems like the first job of the Foreign Minister in order to negotiate with a Foreign Minister of Cambodia about Phra Wihan temple on the No Man's land issue didn't go well.

A friend of my husband who was a senator in the same term with my husband, was shot and dead. It was on the news this afternoon. Everybody in my family knows him. So we're sad.

A dog that I rescued and raise at the office, which I work as an editor at Telecom Journal, is sick from the illness in past 2 weeks. He's already old when I rescued from a street but when I adopted him, he was cheerful and loved by everyone at the office. Now that he's sick, everybody is sad.

Fortunately, once I got home, I found that all the dogs at home are healthy and happy. At least, when I get home, there's this joyful waiting for me.

Michelle Brislin

Michelle Brislin is an exhibitor, who shows Chihuahua in USA. She gave me an honor by writing to me and we've been talking awhile with freindly feeling. She's a big fan of my Baron and Brooke (who isn't? LOL)

Michelle told me that she seriously falls in love with Chihuahua. She can't stop thinking about Chihuahua more than an hour in each day. She buys stuffs for the dogs - clothes, foods and snacks - more than she buys for herself and her husband.

She thinks whatever she feels with chihuahua is an illness but she's happy with that kind of illness.

I had to argue that whatever she is doesn't call an "illness" at all. If Michelle is ill, I might have been illed too because I'm everything Michelle said she is. And I've this reaction with all the breeds, not only Chihuahua. So if she's sick, I'm sicker. LOL

I'm convincing Michelle to come visit Baron, Brooke and me in Thailand. She said she almost bought Brooke when she saw Brooke in the States but the ex-owner said Brooke was about to go to Thailand (to me) and Michelle said she really falls in love with Baron. Also, we have great conversations. Aren't that enough reasons to come visit Thailand?

When Time Goes by

H.M. The King has appointed the new Foreign Minister. His name Taech Boonarg (Spelling unsure). He's very experienced in diplomacy. He starts his work on Monday, and his first task will eb to negotiate with Cambodia regarding the Prawihan Temple.

I received a forward male from my friend, which was very cute. I name it, when time goes by, which requires no explanation.

Jean in Montana, with the old-fashioned Western life-style

Jean from Piney Creek's Chihuahuas, Montana, USA, visited my website and kindly dropped by my guest-book. So I visited her website and found some very nice chihuahuas and bulldogs in her very beautiful website. I was impressed in her pride she has for her family and her "old-fashioned Western Montana" lifestyle. The pictures of cowboys on horses were very attractive. Her policy of selling dogs impressed me greatly. I'm happy to have found Jean and her chihuahuas.

Here is Jean's website: http://www.pineycreekchihuahuas.com/

I also attached a picture of my Tana Banana, a female chihuahua I imported from the US. She is a beauty. Her ex-owner always called her, "Mrs. Montana."

A blind street dog that was luckily rescued and adopted.

I've recieved a forward email about a street dog was crashed by a car, injured and her left eye was stabed by a sharp object. Once the dog was found and sent to the vet, he discovered that her left eye was already rotten and the vet has to scoop out the eye ball, which made,at the present time, her left eye was completly blinded. Her body was dilapidated with weakness and injuries. The person who found was too afraid to put her back at the same street as of afraid that she'll get hurt again. Therefore, she tried to find the new home for this poor dog. I, as a person who has adopted so many dogs, saw this "Nei" and felt deeply sorry and decided within a second " Whatever, one more shouldn't be too much of a trouble" . I called the person who was looking for a house for Nei and told her that I'll be adopting this dog.

The owner of the forward mail, whose name Aor, told me that there's a kind family which already adopted Nei to be part of the family already and also sent me some pictures of her new home. I relieve and admire what Aor and the family who adopts Nei have done.

In Bangkok, there're still 600,000 street dogs that are abandon and hurt. It's a tragic. Each of them has to run and hide for a life, hungry and die worthlessly. No matter how much you help or adopt, it's never enough for the wicked faith those dogs have to face in lives.

Salee in new home

Thee, a very nice guy, who purchased a male cavalier puppy tri-color from me for more than a year, which keep in touch and become good friends just have new a new home at a new place that's very loving and peaceful with yard and big area ... good for the Cavalier, Salee.

Thee sent me some pictures of Salee at new home that look very happily. Thee talked about Salee that Salee adapted to the new home very quickly. He seems to be happy with more space for him to play and chase with Indy, his sheltie friend.

The photos he sent me were taken just yesterday. Salee is now 1 year and 7 months old. He seems happy all the time. He finds everything surrounding him exciting, and keeps his large round eyes wide all the time. What a funny boy!!!

Thee explained along with the sent picture that one picture was taken in front of the front door. And the other two were taken in the garden on the second floor of the house.

Those pictures and information came on the day that the sky in Thailand wasn't that brigth with all the conflicts. So thank you so much Thee for updating and making my day.

"Cash" produced another American Champion

Cash had another puppy of his grown to become an American Champion, at Nebraska, USA, past weekend. Her name is "Charm." Am.Ch. Fandango Lamars Lucky Charm. Charm is two years old.

Last year, Cash's son name "Rebel," who became an American Champion. I posted his picture on the blog. Rebel is owned and lives with Cash's breeder, Karen L. Hamling.

This means Cash currently has two children of his who became American Champions. We're hopeful and support "Flash", who are with Simon Sim, in the Philippines, to become a Champion soon.

In Thailand, a child of Cash has already become a Thai Champ, named Tom Cruise. He's owned by a couple who used to be my good friends.

I have high hopes with little Divine and Maiden, which I decided to keep under the advise of Cash's breeder and friends. Hope they will grow up to become a beautiful champion as their grandfather, father, and siblings. But at the moment, Divine and Maiden are only two months old. LOL

Pictures and information of Charm can be found at: http://lamarsdoghouse.homestead.com/Chihuahuas.html

All my dogs did well

My three dogs have finished their showing in the latest event, today. The general results are not bad. Baron won 3 Best of Breeds and 1 Reserve Best of Breed. Sweetie showed for the first time in this event at the age of 6 months. She won 2 Best of Breeds and 3 Reserve Best of Breeds. As for Beamer, he was absent once due to sickness. But in the other 4 rounds, he won 2nd place in each of them. LOL.

I will post their pictures and information in the "Show Results" page, in a couple of days.

Next month, August, there's a show every week. Oh my Goodness.

Beamer won 2nd place in every rounds of Baby Class

Baron keeps up the good job

Sweetie did very well for her first show.

I can't imagine the end

The situation along the Thailand-Cambodia hasn't improved. Both armies have camped around the "No-Man" land, which both sides still claim as their own. Anyhow, there haven't been such tension for 45 years. Pretty much for as long as I can remember.

Two groups of Thai are fighting against one another. One, is a mob of thousands from Bangkok, the other is the locals along the borders. These two groups threw insults at one another. They even ran in to start a fight. I saw the news this morning and I was sad.I've been sad the whole day. Why is it that Thais, known as the People of Smile, would fight among each other and leave their smile far behind?

I've been thinking for many days where this all began and where it'll end. The beginning, we can find out. But I can't imagine how it'll end.

"Beamer" is absent from show today because he's coughing, so I keep him home. It's not very important because he's only 5 months old. For the show yesterday, he earned the no.2 spot of Baby Class. That's not bad.

"Beamer" the fawn and his litter mate, "Danny" the black.

These photos were taken when they were 4 months old.

Karen's Puppies - I miss Sa

Karen sent a picture of her latest puppies. They're so cute.

It's strange that no matter how long you've been breeding dogs or how many champions you produced, every time you have a new litter, it's always an excitement. That is what happened to Karen, me, and many other breeders and exhibitors.

I miss Sa, my eldest son, 2nd eldest child. He's working during his summer holidays as a mentor at a summer camp in Phuket. It's based at Sa's old school. Sa is humorous and he makes his family very happy. Right now we're a little lonely.

Mud-Mee Went to New Home

The tension along the Thailand-Cambodia, which started since yesterday has not settled down yet. I'm worried about the current situation. I ponder that, "Life is not long." So why do we spend our time fighting over things we did not even build.

A group of the Southern terrorists made a news announcement to stop their destruction, after having killed many people. I watched his news on the TV and thought, "it's too easy to be true." Many groups came out and said that they don't believe that this particular group is the real one. Anyhow, the upcoming days will prove whether this particular group is the real one. Whether we believe or not, we all want peace to return to souther Thailand. Hope it'll be a fairy tale come true.

Today, a young lady named Ploy, came to purchase Mud-Mee, the female cavalier puppy, to her new home. She changed Mud-Mee's name to Bella. The way she talked about the love for dogs in her family convinced me that Bella has the best home.

Good luck to Ploy and Bella.

Micro and Pan-Jo

This is Micro. A small long-coat male chihuahua puppy, who has plan of go to live and show in Sweden. He will live with Sugarhills of a very sweet couple, Peter and Ellika. Peter will come to pick Micro up along with Hugo, short-coat male puppy, who's also very gorgeous.

In the pictures, Micro was playing with Pan-Jo, a crippled Pomeranian I rescued years ago. Pan-Jo has two crippled hind legs. When he pees, he will lift us his hind legs in vertical angle. Very funny. He used to live with my friends. But when they were moving back to America, they decided to put this sorry crippled pomeranian to sleep. I picked him up to live with me years ago. He's loved by many. He's lively and always thinks he's the most handsome in the house.

In the pictures, an old crippled pomeranian playing with chihuahua puppy. Cute right?

We will have Thai Elephant Park. No more wandering elephants. YEAH!

Last Sunday was a a day I enjoyed a small piece of news, which was presented insignificantly. It was reported that the Thai government in on process of building an elephant park to gather together all the elephants in the country, which each day, is less and less. Some of them were brought to wander the city to earn money for some people.

Thai elephants, which have a long history with Thailand, and is the animal representative of teh country, are starving and abused in various ways. It's so sad. Of course there are some organizations trying to look after these poor elephants, but they're still not thorough. So we still see elephants wandering in Bangkok and other major cities. The elephants walk on boiling concrete roads. Many times I look into their eyes to find that they're crying. They walk along with some guys, who'll be carrying fruits. They won't feed the elephants though. The purpose is to have people buy the fruits to feed the elephants. Whenever we see such sight, my family and I are very sad. We're torned between feeding the elephant and not buying, to prevent supporting such a business. When we're torned in such way, it always ends up with sadness in our hearts.

Elephants which are taken to wander the cities, are younger by the day. Sometimes we see baby elephants walking along it's mother. In fact, in my country, there's a law against doing such a business. But I never see the law being enforced. I've always seen the law being ignored. Many times I called up relevant organizations or the police, they would ignore me or even laugh at me. Can you imagine how sad this is?

If elephants were small animals, and the cost is low, I would probably buy every elephants I see. The same way I've collected many street dogs. LOL. But since I can't do this, my heart's full of sadness with this issue.

The news that the government is setting up this park is the best news this year. Hopefully this program will go on, and doesn't collapse. In the news, many celebs are supporting this program. It may be the support needed for this program to go through.

My family and I are very happy with this good news. Since we were all together last Sunday, we all took photos together to celebrate this great news. Although there may not be any elephants in our pictures, just our dogs, which have never let us be lonely or sad.

We are happy, and our dogs are happy about the news of the park.

My three kids with Gigi, the cavalier female.

Finally, I said I wanted a single photo, but Gigi didn't allow me.

Then...Typhoon agreed not to leave me alone.

I don't care if the world will explode tomorrow. Every life will meet the same fate. But as long as we have to live together, please be kind to other lives. Even though those lives are just animals. Hope all of you agree.

Baron is funny

Baron didn't win Best in Show. But that's alright. As I've said, the Best in Group is a profit, which made me very happy already. The dogs that won best in Show yesterday were a bulldog, which has a record of many best in shows, a pomeranian, which is very beautiful, and a very famous Siberian. They won the Best in Show one round each. They were all deserving of the Best in Show.
Baron returned home and went to sleep.
Allow me to talk about Baron's sleeping habit. He loves sleeping so much. When he sleeps, he snores veyr loudly and farts like a pug. I think we don't usually see a chihuahua, which snores and farts like him. LOL
Baron really does love to sleep. Even when he's shoowing, if he has to wait for a long time, he'll start to look sleepy. If he wins and is taking photos on the podium, if the handler is taking a long time to set up his pose, then he'll start to fall asleep as well. You see his pictures in show results with his eyes closed, that is really him sleeping. Even during sex he falls asleep! LOL
When Baron was showing in America, Erika, his handler, once wrote to tell me that Baron is funny. She said that when he arrives in Thailand, she said I'll love him so much. At the time, she didn't tell me how Baron is funny. I think this is his funny part. And she's right, I do love Baron.
I also put up pictures of Cash, which seems to be very happy to be taking a rest and not showing. When Baron returned home very late last night, Cash, who was sleeping, only looked up as if to ask, "Hey, did you enjoy showing today? Keep up the good work. I've stopped and I'm going to sleep." And he went back to sleeping.
Baron didn't win Best in Show. But yesterday was still a beautiful Sunday for me. Including there were other good news coming in my life. I will write about them later. One of the good thing is all the support I receive from you. My friends, from all over the world. Some of you comment on my blog, some wrote me an email, and some of you both! It really made my day.

My Beautiful Boy on My Beautiful Day

มันเป็นเรื่องยากมาก ที่ชิวาว่าจะชนะรอบ Best in Group และสำหรับฉันแล้ว การได้ Best of Breed สม่ำเสมออย่างที่ Baron ทำมาตลอด ก็นับเป็นของขวํยจากฟากฟ้าแล้วละ แต่วันนี้ Baron ได้ Best in Group จริงๆ

-------------------------------------------
Baron is a smooth-coat chihuahua I flew across the ocean to pick up from from America along with Tommy, after the two of them have finished their American Championship. They arrived just last March and have all finished their Thai Championship. Tommy has stopped to rest and be a sweet-boy at home. Baron continues to show and has done very well.

Today Baron went to Ayuthaya with Mr. Prayoon and his wife, Noi, along with Beamer, a 5 month old pug who will be testing the Baby show ring.

I didn't go to the show becuase I have a meeting so I waited for the call from Khun Noi, which she would report the results.

Just now, Noi told me that Baron has won all the Best of Breeds, and have created Thailand Chihuahua history by being the first to win a Best in Group! Am I dreaming? Noi said no, it's not a dream. Baron really had won a Best in Group.

It's very difficult for a chihuahua to win a Best in Group. For me, to win Best of Breed consistently, as Baron has done, is a gift from heaven. But today, Baron won a Best in Group!

Tomorrow, Baron will return to the show to participate in the Best in Show round. To show respect to the show, I wouldn't dream of Baron winning the Best in Show because it's not something one dreams of for a chihuahua. Just today, him winning the Best in Group, I know the joy will keep me up at night.

I'm writing this blog to share my joy because I know many people are cheering for Baron.

It's good to know that there are people to share this joy with.

Thank you everyone.

By the way, Eden, m good maltese won Best of Breed in every round, and Beamer, the little pug, won two 2nd place, one 1st place, and the Reserve Specialty in Show. Not bad for his first show.

My Beautiful Day

After so many bad news happening in my country, especially politics (these news still remain and some grow) this morning, I'm so happy with the news that the magazine Travel and Leisure conducted a world-wide poll for the best visiting city. Bangkok, the capital city of my country, won. This made me happy. And I want you guys to know that not only is it good for visiting, my country has many beautiful dogs. Good to be picked up from a visit. LOL.

I would like to share that Cash's puppies, which I've presented as beautiful and so father-like, they are now 45 days old. Still gorgeous. As for their names, there have been some changes. I decided to change the female name to Saiyai Fandango Maiden Cash. I call her, "Maiden." As for the male, which seems to be a clone of his father, his name is Saiyai Fandango Cash's Dividend. I call "Divide." The two names were given to me by my friend, Simon.

Thank you Simon for being the god-father of the two of them. LOL.
Enjoy their pictures.
