Sun Bath on a Sunday Morning

At Saiyai Kennel, puppies that are 1-3 months old will be brought out to take the light sun in the morning for calcium and good healthy. Until they are old enough to "party" with the others.

Because today is a Sunday, once they've done taking a sun bath, I took them up to play at the TV room in front of my bedroom.

The pictures aren't very clear because they were all run run run.

Brooke

Once her puppies were almost two months old, Brooke began looking for another corner of happiness. In the afternoon, she remains with her puppies, but at night she has returned to Kawee's room. As usual, she would try to show her ownership over Kawee. When Kawee sits at his computer, she would sit on his lap. Later, when Kawee goes to sleep, Brooke would also be on the bed.

a minute of silence for Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett

I woke up this morning, shocked like the rest of the world. Can't believe that Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have passed away.

I would like to give a minute of silence for Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, my favorite artists, and the favorite artists of millions of other people around the world. With my respect for MJ's gift and ingenius, which I still can't think of anyone who could replace him. And Fawcett's girl-next-door personality, which will be in our hearts always

They are like blythe dolls

These are the puppies of Baron and Brooke. They are all 50 days old today. Even now, I can't believe that in a litter of 6, all of them would be so beautiful. They are still too young to tell if they'll still be beautiful once they grow up. But at the moment, and looking at the signs, I'm sure they'll all be incredibly beautiful.

They are all like the blythe dolls. Beautiful, lively, and faultless.

Really...at this minute, I look at them, and really can't find any fault. Except one of them might be a bit small, which she means she might have to stay with me. I won't mind at all because she's very beautiful.

I am blessed to have this litter. I must thank Baron and Brooke, the parents of merit.

I am happy that all the puppies of this litter are destined to go to my familiar friends, including, Roxana (Switzerland), Gayle Essex (USA), Marina (Massway, Russia), and Anucha (Thailand). Only the boy belong to Yasuo Onichi, a Japanese guy. He's a new friend but also very nice.

Elissa Taylor

Elissa Taylor flew from Vientien to see a doctor in Bangkok, this morning. I accompanied her at the hospital. Well, the last time Elissa and her family flew to pick up Chester, the cavalier boy, they had a medical check-up. The doctor found something slightly wrong, so made an appointment for Elissa to come see him again today.

The doctor didn't take long to diagnose. Of course, everything was fine. Anyhow, Elissa will come back to see the doctor again next month, just to make sure. Nothing serious.

Once left the hospital, Elissa and I went to a pet shop. Elissa bought snacks and stuff for Chester. Once we left the pet shop, it was lunch. I asked her, "Elissa, are you hungry?" She said, "I'm always hungry," and we laughed because we were the same.

We went to a mall, and we chose to celebrate Elissa's good health by eating junk food, KFC, LOL. And we followed up with some ice-cream. Kawee came to join us at the ice-cream store.

After that we went to what was probably the biggest book store in the country. Elissa bought some books for her husband, children, and herself. I also bought a book for myself.

Elissa will return next month. I am happy to see her again.

This is "Dala" flower, which grows all over Bangkok. Elissa loves them so much. It's actually a flower of Indonesia, but it flourish here in Bangkok. Next month, some "Dala" might go with Elissa to go and flourish in Laos.

Update Lin-Hua and her baby panda

Panda Lin-Hua's baby is 25 days old today, and weighs 1140 grams. Both mother and baby are very healthy, but the mother is still very protective. Being "protective" in panda terms isn't aggression, but more the case of taking her baby away whenever a staff attempts to clean the habitat or bring food for them.

The two pandas seem happy. Lin Hua got so used to carrying her baby that even when she put down her baby, her arm was still bent like she was carrying her baby. The staff had an idea that they didn't want Lin-Hua to worry whenever they take her baby away, so they made a pillow the size and shape like her baby for her to carry. Lin-Hua wasn't happy with it so she threw it away and saw it as garbage. Lin-Hua remains very protective of her child.

The Thai and Chinese people are very excited. Some channels broadcast this panda family 24 hours, and there are constant updates on their well beings. The name nominations are down to the final four, but the initial popular name of Thai-Thai didn't make it. It should be so because this little panda is an asset of China. She will return to China when she's 2-4 years old. Her name should include something Chinese.

I spoiled my boys: episode 2

As I've once mentioned, I spoil my boys due to the reason I've said earlier. Here are some pictures of my boys who were sleeping in my room last night.

Ooops, there was one girl, which was Pear, a female Pomeranian who usually sleeps in the main bedroom with my husband, but she's ill so I let he sleep with me so I can look after her.

Prince at Heart, the cavalier boy jumped onto the bed to sleep on the pillow next to me, everynight.

Cash, tired from playing, sleeps peacefully in the middle of the room

Sometimes Cash would sleep on the cusion with Tommy

Others have already fallen asleep but Cappuccino was still wide awake

Once there was no one left to play with, Cappuccino went to sleep

Piko, my sweet Japanese boy has his own corner to sleep in

Pan-Joe, the crippled Pomeranian, he has a big part of my heart, but he needs only a tiny corner to sleep in. But he must be able to see me from his tiny corner, every morning he wakes up in.

Pear, chose to sleep on the newspaper, which was suppose to serve as the toilet. No one dared used the newspaper because Pear slept on it the whole night.

Aung San Suu Kyi

Lately I have many stories that make me sad. But today, the story that makes me deeply sad is the story of Aung San Suu Kyi. She turned 64 years today. She lives alone in her home-prison, in Burma. I dare not use the phrase "celebrate her birthday." Her party, NLD, came out to show their support, and released white doves as sign of peace, from the streets outside.

Aung San Sun Kyi is the leader of the Opposition Party, who won the general election by a land-slide, 30 years ago. She was arrested for rebellion right after she won. She was imprisoned at her own house for 15 years. During her few years of freedom afterwards, the Burmese government soon realize that she was still threateningly popular so they imprisoned her at her home with the same charge. The time was going to end after 10 years. The 10 years is approaching an end soon. There was an American reporter who swam over the lake to go see her. Although it was just a random person, she was blamed and so she has been sent to prison. There are reports that she is ill.

Her husband who's an Englishman, has passed away with cancer. They weren't together in his last moments. Their two sons, who are now in their 40s,also live in England, but they have not had their mother for most of their lives because they are not allowed inside Burma.

What I don't understand is that all the world-powers, which have came out to pressurize the Burmese governtment, but at the same time leading companies from those countries went in to invest in Burma. Thai government, which is the closest neighbor, also gives a weak pressure to release Aung San Suu Kyi. When asked why not take a harder approach, they all say, they're afraid it would negatively effect international relationship. Isn't it funny that if they're going to apply pressure, why be afraid? And why don't they think that if Aung San Suu Kyi's party became the government, would it then not create a stronger relationship?

This is just a question from an old Thai lady, who doesn't have a lot of knowledge about politics. But I've been wondering all my life, and will continue to wonder.

Although I dare not, and should not say happy birthday to Aung San Suu Kyi, I would like to send my great respect over the mountains and the Erawadee River, which seperates the two countries, to her. I hope that my wish, from this blog, will not cause her to suffer another 10 years in prison.

Shopper is going to train & show in the US

Shopper, the best puppy out of Cash and Primrose, found his loving and caring family, here in Thailand. He lives with and owns by Mrs.Pimporn Lee and her family.

The "Lee" Family has the passion and intention for Shopper to show his potential as a beautiful dog and deserving of a great champion. So, Shopper will be flying to be shown by Karen Hamling, Cash's breeder, in Omaha, USA. There, Shopper will get to see Star, Cash's mother, and his very own grand-mother.

Hope the grandma and grandson will live happily together while Shopper shows there. Star who was a ROM of 2005, will get to pass on the qualities of a good showing dog to her grandson, Shopper.
