Update Lin-Hua and her baby panda

Panda Lin-Hua's baby is 25 days old today, and weighs 1140 grams. Both mother and baby are very healthy, but the mother is still very protective. Being "protective" in panda terms isn't aggression, but more the case of taking her baby away whenever a staff attempts to clean the habitat or bring food for them.

The two pandas seem happy. Lin Hua got so used to carrying her baby that even when she put down her baby, her arm was still bent like she was carrying her baby. The staff had an idea that they didn't want Lin-Hua to worry whenever they take her baby away, so they made a pillow the size and shape like her baby for her to carry. Lin-Hua wasn't happy with it so she threw it away and saw it as garbage. Lin-Hua remains very protective of her child.

The Thai and Chinese people are very excited. Some channels broadcast this panda family 24 hours, and there are constant updates on their well beings. The name nominations are down to the final four, but the initial popular name of Thai-Thai didn't make it. It should be so because this little panda is an asset of China. She will return to China when she's 2-4 years old. Her name should include something Chinese.
