It happened in a ring in Hunterdon Hills , New Jersey, USA,My Malee was best of variety today and went in the group and she went group first under the judge Robert Sharp. She was best in group amazing for a bitch so young 12 points as of now 4 majors.
Yes,Malee won the group !!!and showed well in the best in show ring. She did not go best in show but the people loved her and had lots of clapping. That was by Erika Lanasa.

This is no easy feat for a Chihuahua to get Group1.I only had 1 of my boys get this award in 2004(Corey) who is in Japan now.

I am so delighted with your big win--you have no idea how unusual this is --to win a Group out of the classes is almost unheard of and far overshines just finishing a champion-as nice as that is--this is one of the biggest wins you have ever had and is only overshadowed by an AKC Best in Show--Congratulations----Erika has worked herself and the Chi to get her to strutt her stuff--and she is no longer a shy little Miss.Who would have thought that judging in Bangkok and getting to be friends with you would have led to this WONDER!!!!!

Jane, you are in my hearts and thoughts almost every minute of everyday. Of course I know that when you carried the heavy magazines, which featured Cash on the cover, just to help me find very good smooth boy, you probably didn't think it would bring about all this. But you know, you have helped me meet good friends, such as Erika. You and Erika are two good friends, who never claim to be good, but what you two have done for me are more than just "good friends."
I think I forwarded the pictures of Tommie, who has finished American Championship last weekend as Best Puppy in Show record, to you. Tommie is a son of Tommy, who was of Erika's breeding. I got Tommy along with Baron,remember?.

I have behind the scene to tell:
Malee showed soooo well, the rain was terrible and the mud and water covered over thier feet, and Erika's shoes were getting stuck in the mud as she walked. They even delayed the show for an hour in the middle because the flooding was so bad. Malee never let down, she was such a trooper, she was so muddy that Erika had to re-bath, and groom her between the breed, the group and again before Best.
Oh! Erika, you worked sooooo hard and did very very goooood job with the little Malee.
Billy and Kenny were in the "muddy scene" with Erika and Malee as well. Thank you two,Billy and Kenny.
This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!! Erika is doing an exelent jobs!!! WAY TO GO!!
