Look What's up

It's early morning in Thailand and it's raining hard. My dogs could not come out to party like every other days. The general atmosphere aroud the house is dark and quiet.

When I checked emails, this picture pop up with Karen's email. ,Its somewhere in Nebraska.

She said:Last night ,as I let the dogs out, Chip my young male ,got a scent of something ,and chased it up the tree. Poor big raccoon was scared to death, and stayed up there until dark.Guess I have a coon dog Chihuahua:)/Karen

Funny story Karen. My dogs do the same thing to the many squirrels the live around my house. Its very funny to watch the squirrels and dogs play together.

I don't know why, I like to imagine that USA is full of tall buildings. Everytime I read about animals, such as when Karen sent us this story, or when Rick told of his dogs chasing squirrel, I felt weird and happy.

My dogs chase squirrels all day as well. They are very angry because they can never catch the squirrel. The squirrel always seem to come down to anger the dogs before running up the trees.

But it's good that dogs can't catch squirrels because if they can, funny pictures will turn to tragedy. My friend once told me that his papilon dog chased a squirrel, and really hated squirrel because that squirrel likes to tease the dog. The unfortunate thing for this squirrel was the the dog was very smart. The dog pretended to sleep, and once the squirrel came down to tease, as it ussualy does, the dog leaped out to catch the squirrel. To hits from the paws and the squirrel was dead.

Thanks Joom and Karen! This very beautiful photo! I represent AS below under this huge tree many small Chi's jump and bark and do attempts to get this big raccoon..... Tiny Chi's are very inventive and courageous always!

Joom ,
Glad everyone liked the picture!
Just so you know, Chip only smelled him , then saw him outside the fence of my yard.
He was never in my yard. The Raccoon saw the dogs, and was scared and went up the tree, just outside of the yard. They never got that close to him.

Where we live, there is a small forrest in back of us, and 15 acres of meadow next to our yard.Lots of wild turkey, deer, raccoons and other wildlife around us.
